Insurance Qualification - ABC Mobility

Let's see if insurance will help you...

  1. Do you have problems throughout the day with your mobility due to your health?
  2. Do you have trouble completing your daily activities due to heart, lung, arthritis, respiratory, stroke, diabetes, or any other health concerns?
  3. If "Yes" to question 2, would a mobility device allow you to better complete your daily activities?
  4. Would a mobility device give you more independence and freedom of movement?
  5. Could you safely operate a mobility device?

If the answers are yes to these questions, let's talk on the phone at (800)952-3217 or email us online and we'll see if you can qualify.

Will Insurance pay for a Power Wheelchair?
If you qualify, Insurance will pay for a portion of your power wheelchair.

How much will insurance pay towards the purchase?
The amount Insurance will pay depends on the type of mobility device you choose ... and your needs and the examination by your doctor. Often the majority of the expense is covered.

Who is responsible for the cost not covered by Insurance?
You will be responsible for the remaining amount, however most secondary insurance providers will cover an additional portion of the expense.

How do I know if I will qualify for insurance?
Insurance providers use certain criteria to determine that a motorized device is medically necessary. A "Certificate of Medical Necessity", also known as a CMN, needs to be completed by your physician. This form has specific questions for your physician to verify that you have a medical necessity for the motorized device.

Is there any additional information needed?
Along with the CMN "Certificate of Medical Necessity", a written prescription from your physician is required.
